# Chimera Online — Mastery Guide

## Overview

At **Cap 80**, reaching Level 80 opens the next major character progression system: **Mastery**.

Before you can begin leveling in Mastery Mode, you must complete the initial **Class Master** questline:

1. **Class Master Challenge**
2. **Class Master Part II**
3. **Class Master Part III**

Completing these quests unlocks access to Rebirthing and Mastery progression. It does **not** immediately grant Mastery Rank 1.

---

## Requirements

To begin the Class Master progression at Cap 80, your character needs:

- **Level 80**
- At least **240,000 Fame**
- The previous Cap 80 progression required for the Class Master quests to become available

Once these requirements are met, follow the Class Master quests shown in your quest log.

---

## Class Master Challenge

The first Class Master quest is a preparation step.

The exact objective depends on your nation. Follow the objectives shown in your quest log and return to the indicated NPC after completing them.

> Legacy Class Master material lists do not represent the current Cap 80 progression and should not be used as a farming checklist.

Completing the quest allows you to continue with **Class Master Part II**.

---

## Class Master Part II

The second quest continues the preparation for your Class Master trial.

Follow the objectives shown in your quest log and prepare your equipment for the final fight. **Level 80 equipment or better** is recommended before continuing.

After completing the quest, continue with **Class Master Part III**.

---

## Class Master Part III

The final part is your Class Master trial.

Follow the quest instructions and talk to **Lide** when requested. Complete the Class Master encounter and finish the quest.

This completes the initial Class Master questline and unlocks the next progression step: **Rebirthing / Mastery Mode**.

---

## What Does Class Mastery Unlock?

Completing Class Master Part III unlocks the ability to enter **Mastery progression**.

Mastery progression is separate from your normal character level:

- Your normal **Level 80** character is retained.
- Your equipment and inventory are retained.
- The first Mastery progression starts at **Mastery Level 30**.
- Mastery experience and Mastery levels progress separately from your normal Level 80 progression.
- Reaching **Mastery Level 80** unlocks **Mastery Rank 1**.

Switching into Mastery Mode therefore does not delete or replace your normal Level 80 progression.

---

## Mastery Rank 1

Finishing the first Mastery journey at Mastery Level 80 grants **Mastery Rank 1** and automatically adds the corresponding passive bonus.

Mastery Rank 1 provides:

- **+1 Skill Range**
- **+2 to all Stats**
- **Millena:** +20 Physical Attack
- **Rain:** +20 Magic Attack

The full leveling process is explained in the [Rebirthing Guide](M02_Chimera_Online_Rebirthing_Guide.md).

## Cap 80 Notes

Some mechanics that exist in later-cap or legacy Mastery content are **not available at Cap 80**:

- **Elite monsters are not available.**
- **Stalker monsters are not available.**
- **Power Gems are not normal monster drops at Cap 80.** They can be obtained through the relevant quest and can also be purchased as a **25 Power Gems** package from the Rebirth Manager.
- **Twilight Valley cannot be entered outside its quest**, so resources from the area cannot be farmed normally.
- **Master Piece is not obtainable at Cap 80.** Any trade or progression route requiring a Master Piece is unavailable.

These limitations are important when using old Mastery guides or looking at the complete Rebirth Manager trade list, because parts of that list belong to later progression stages.

---

## Next Step: Rebirthing

After finishing Class Master Part III, continue with the [Rebirthing Guide](M02_Chimera_Online_Rebirthing_Guide.md).

The Rebirthing Guide explains the Mastery leveling route, why powerleveling does not replace the normal progression, the Mastery Rank 1 rewards, and every Rebirth Manager offer with its Cap 80 availability.
