Chimera Online - Class Overview
Introduction
At level 30, every character advances into one of four classes available to their nation. Each class offers a unique playstyle, strengths, and weaknesses. This guide provides a general overview of every class.
Millena Classes
Knight
Role: Tank / Frontline Fighter
- Uses a one-handed sword and shield with heavy armor.
- Can switch between two battle stances.
- Provides powerful party buffs.
- Has strong offensive skills despite its defensive nature.
- Gains additional HP from Vitality more efficiently than other classes.
- Less vulnerable to damage-over-time effects.
- Can reduce enemy defenses for the benefit of the group.
Weaknesses
- Lower mobility than most classes.
- Slower attacks due to heavy equipment.
Mercenary
Role: Assassin / Mobile Damage Dealer
- Uses one-handed weapons and light armor.
- Features stealth, stuns, poisons, and rapid attacks.
- Makes the most efficient use of the combo system.
- Has strong movement skills and excellent mobility.
- Attack power scales with both Dexterity and Power.
Weaknesses
- Low defensive stats.
- Limited survivability when caught.
Slayer
Role: Heavy Damage Dealer
- Uses a two-handed greatsword.
- Delivers powerful attacks and self-buffs.
- Has movement-enhancing skills.
- Possesses special utility skills such as damage reflection and hitback effects.
- Receives special scaling from Power.
Sniper
Role: Ranged Support / Damage Dealer
- Uses bows and arrows with light armor.
- Offers strong support abilities.
- Has excellent crowd control, including seal skills.
- Large variety of skills for many situations.
- Very high accuracy.
- Receives bonus attack scaling from Dexterity.
Rain Classes
Prominas
Role: Magical AoE Specialist / Allrounder
- Uses a book and magical armor.
- Excellent variety of offensive and defensive skills.
- Specializes in controlling enemies and locking down groups.
- Strong AoE damage capabilities.
- Effective both solo and in parties.
- Scales well with all attributes.
- Can consume mana and gauges very quickly if not managed carefully.
Weaknesses
- Slow movement speed.
- Difficult to master due to its versatile toolkit.
Holy Avenger
Role: Glass Cannon Damage Dealer
- Uses a staff and priest armor.
- Very fast casting speed.
- Exceptional single-target damage.
- Strong group damage potential.
- Particularly effective at destroying enemy defenses.
- Requires frequent repositioning while casting.
- Mana management is generally manageable.
Weaknesses
- Limited defensive and emergency survival tools.
Priest
Role: Support / Damage-over-Time Specialist
- Uses a staff and priest armor.
- Fast casting speed.
- Provides healing, buffs, debuffs, and support abilities.
- Possesses extremely powerful holy and dark poison effects.
- Can spread and detonate poisons to destroy large groups of enemies.
- Scales especially well with Intelligence.
- Effective at solo leveling.
- Highly desired in parties and mandatory for the strongest boss encounters.
Psyche
Role: Stance-Based Fighter / Tank / Damage Dealer
- Uses a crystal ball and shaman armor.
- Melee-focused class.
- Built around the combo system.
- Can function as either a tank or damage dealer depending on stance selection.
- Has three stances: PvE Defense, PvP Defense, and Damage.
- Two stances can be combined freely.
- Double-defense stance setup is considered the safest option.
- Possesses a powerful movement skill (Shaman Kick) with a long cooldown.
- Can reduce the defense of large groups with a single attack.
- Gains additional HP from Vitality.
- Has a very powerful tanking skill that can be countered through debuffs.
