Chimera Online Leveling Guide (45–60)

Introduction

After completing your class specialization quest at level 30 and progressing through Tough Wind Desert or Esan Snow Area, your next major destination is Ida.

Ida refers to two different nation-specific maps that serve the same purpose in progression. Regardless of nation, players will spend most of their journey from level 45 to 60 in their respective Ida map.

This level range introduces stronger equipment rewards, valuable one-time quests, new dungeons, and your first glimpse of the challenges that await beyond level 60.

Reaching Ida

Several routes lead toward Ida depending on your nation.

Safe Routes

Mill Nation

Industrial Divided Area → Ida

Rain Nation

Gaia Valley → Illiecian Deserted Area → Ida

These routes are recommended for most players and contain suitable monsters and quest chains along the way.

Alternative Routes

Haku Nation

Forgotten Sea → Forest of Destination → Ida

Rain Nation Alternative

Jede → Frozen Lake → Hill of Destiny → Ida

Be cautious when using these routes. While they may offer access to additional content, both Forgotten Sea and Frozen Lake are popular hunting grounds for higher-level players and are common PvP zones.

Guard NPCs provide some protection near entrances, but hostile players can still reach hunting areas. Stay alert when leveling in these maps.

Guard Quests

Throughout the safe routes, players will encounter guards requesting assistance.

These quests are one-time quests that usually require defeating large numbers of monsters throughout the surrounding maps.

The rewards make them well worth completing:

Leveling in Ida

Ida offers a large variety of monsters suitable for levels 45–55.

Instead of remaining at the first hunting location you find, it is highly recommended to explore the entire map. Some areas contain significantly denser monster populations and can provide noticeably faster experience gain.

Most players should remain in Ida until approximately level 54–55.

Equipment Progression

During this level range, many monster drops can already contain Elda Stone infusions and enhancement levels.

Because of this, players generally do not need to craft or manually enhance equipment yet and can often obtain strong upgrades directly through hunting.

Level 55 Progression

Starting around level 55, players can begin defeating the first monsters found in:

Additional quest lines become available from NPCs in Haku and Jede.

These quests reward another powerful weapon upgrade and help prepare players for the challenges beyond level 60.

Important Locations

Tough Wind Desert / Esan Snow Area Dungeon

This dungeon remains relevant throughout progression and is one of the earliest sources of stronger Elda Stones.

Possible rewards include:

Hill of Destiny / Forest of Destination Dungeon

A higher-level dungeon that becomes increasingly important as players approach the next stage of progression.

Red Valley

Accessible from Haku and Jede, Red Valley serves as an important hunting and progression area later in the game.

Gigantitamul and Radonas

Gigantitamul and Radonas are powerful group bosses that become important for future progression.

While determined players may eventually defeat them alone through repeated attempts and careful preparation, they are designed as group encounters.

Level 60 Roadblock

Upon reaching level 60, players encounter their first mandatory progression quest.

Unlike previous content, experience gain is completely blocked until this quest is completed.

To continue leveling, players must eventually defeat either Gigantitamul or Radonas as part of the progression chain.

The preparation, requirements, and strategies for this challenge are covered in a separate guide.
